Teacher Training Meeting - Lithuania
The main focus of the activities was on the different presentations of Raimundas Samulevicius
progymnasium’s involvement in educating gifted and talented students. Also there were
presentations of Lithuania’s involvement in education of gifted and talented students given by Dr.
Jurga Misiuniene - Department of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences, Kaunas Vytautas
Magnus University and the workshop based on participatory "Art of Hosting" methods and visual
mapping tools used by "Thinking Schools".
Activities held by the students:

? Presentation of student’s activities in international ‘GLOBE’ project

the director of the center Egle Vaicekauskiene

? A practitioner Julius Paplauskas hosted a workshop, based on participatory "Art of Hosting"
methods and visual mapping tools used by "Thinking Schools". The participants reflected
on and summarized the lessons learned during the project. They also planned future
activities for sharing their new knowledge and tools gained during the project with their
school community. At the same time, the participants learned about participatory methods
and visual tools that can be used in the educational process.
The workshop in the Town Museum was held by etno-culture specialist R. Libiene – the
participants were presented the etnographical symbols of Lithuania and had opportunity to stamp
them on linen bags.
School students and their theatre teacher I. Šviesaite prepared the sense theatre performance for all
participants. The performance was based on Lithuanian customs and traditional festivals.
At the end the discussion, reflection/evaluation about activities during the meeting was held.
