Teacher Training Meeting - Poland

Grete Pihl, Raili Kaubi, Sevcan Sogutlu Aktas, Huseyin Hilmi Akalin.
The meeting focused on the activities done in ZSO53 (based on the diagnosis of students
Multiple Intelligence profiles), and also on the exchange of good practice and systemic solutions
for working with gifted and talented students in different countries. Participants visited
classroms and have seen sample activities done in our school. They participated in art
workshop in ethnographic museum „Rydlówka” with year VIIstudents and took a part in the
Historical Session prepared by students and teachers (activities during the sessions were
prepared in accordance with different intelligence types).
During the week there were different workshops at ZSO53:
+ Workshop “Gardner’s multiple intelligences in our school practice”, and autodiagnosis test
+ Gardner’s theory implementation for biology and English lesson workshops
+ Art workshop inspired by Stanislaw Wyspianski (stained glass making)
+ Workshops during Historical session (art and play)
+ Lecture with dr. Dariusz Gorajczyk, historician from National Memory Institute
Lectures and workshops during conference organised in the City Hall with a cooperation of
Psychological and Pedagogical Center and Headmaster’s Networking Group:
+ Presentation of the system for working with gifted and talented in different countries.

+ Presentation of the system from Finland by dr. Jolanta Pulka from Frycz-Modrzewski Academy
+ “Every student is a gifted student – Gardner’s multiple Intelligence Theory” by specialist from
Psychological and Pedagogical Counseling Center nr 2 in Cracow.
+ “Stimulating students development” by dr. Jolanta Pulka
+ “Personality formation” workshop by dr. Jolanta Pulka
